Getting started…
The first step is to get in touch via the contact form, by email or text to arrange a consultation session. This initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to share what brings you to therapy. You don’t need to share everything at this stage and any questions you may have about the therapeutic process or working with me will be welcomed. We will explore what you are hoping for, ensuring I can support your individual needs and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
Consultation sessions are charged at ÂŁ55. A brief 15-minute phone call can be prearranged free of charge before booking a consultation session if this first step feels better suited to you.
Moving forward…
If you decide to continue with further sessions, we will meet once a week at the same time. We may initially agree to work together for a specific period of time to see how the process feels for you. After this, you may choose to continue with open-ended therapy. As part of the therapeutic process, we will regularly review how therapy is feeling for you and how we are working together.
Exploring difficult feelings and experiences can sometimes feel challenging at first and there may be times when it is difficult to recognise your progress. If this happens, we can talk openly about this together, explore more deeply what is being brought up for you and continue to build trust in the process by working at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
Questions you may have…
-
You don’t need to have everything worked out before you begin. You may be facing something difficult, feeling stuck, or simply curious about yourself. Whatever brings you here, we can explore it together, at your pace.
An initial consultation gives us space to talk about what you need and see how it feels to work together.
-
Sessions cost £55–£65 for a full hour, depending on your income. Please let me know what you can afford. Those who can pay the higher fee help me keep the lower fee available for those who need it. Consultation sessions are £55.
Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash on the day of your session. Monthly payment is also an option.

My therapy room is in Wimborne Minster, Dorset:
Room 1, 1st Floor, Eastbrook House, Millstream Close, off East Street, Wimborne, BH21 1DW.
The room is accessible by stairs only. I also offer online sessions via Zoom if attending in person isn’t possible or practical for you.
-
No. Our first session is a full-hour consultation where we can get to know each other, explore what brings you to therapy and see how it feels to work together.
There is no obligation to continue. It’s important that you feel comfortable with the person you choose.
-
We will usually meet once a week for a full hour, on the same day and at the same time where possible. This regular space helps us build trust and gives continuity to our work together.
Your regular appointment time will be held for you while we work together.
-
There is no single timeframe that suits everyone. How long we work together will depend on your needs and what you would like to explore.
We will review how the sessions feel as we go, and you can talk with me about continuing or bringing therapy to a close at any point.
-
If you need to cancel or book a session off, there will be no cancellation charge provided that at least 7 days’ notice is given. Where less than 7 days’ notice is provided, or in the event of a missed appointment, the agreed session fee will remain payable. I appreciate that exceptional circumstances can arise, and these will always be considered with understanding and at my discretion.
There is no charge for sessions cancelled due to my own holidays or planned time away. In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a session myself, this would only be due to exceptional circumstances, and I would provide as much notice as possible.
-
Yes. I offer online counselling via Zoom, as well as in-person sessions in Wimborne. Online sessions may suit you if you live further away, have access needs or prefer to attend from home.
You will need a private, comfortable space where you can talk freely, and a reliable internet connection.
