Who am I?

My name is Lauren and I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework.

I have several years experience working with people of diverse ages, identities, cultures and backgrounds, navigating a wide range of challenges in their lives and within themselves. My work is grounded in warmth, curiosity and deep respect for each person’s experience. I offer an empathic, non-judgemental presence and a creative, transpersonal approach that honours both life’s difficulties and each person’s inner resources and potential for transformation. I bring steadiness and compassion to the therapeutic relationship, supporting greater self-understanding, integration and possibility. I have travelled wide and far, spending considerable time immersed in different cultures and traditions. My lifelong interest in the human experience and our capacity for connection has led me on many journeys, both through the world and within myself.

Getting to know you…

During weekly one-to-one sessions, I can support you in discovering more about who you are and what you want. I offer a safe, respectful and empathic space where we can work creatively to understand what you are experiencing. Together, we can explore your personal history, current circumstances and the relationships, communities (familial, societal, cultural) and wider systems that have shaped the way you relate to yourself and others and the world around you. We will pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, embodied experiences, beliefs, inner conflicts and behaviours with curiosity and compassion, to more deeply understand their origins and the meaning they hold for you.

I believe the unfolding relationship between therapist and client is an important part of the therapeutic process, offering an opportunity to build trust and awareness, to talk about what feels challenging and explore new ways of being.

What is asking to be heard beneath the noise of everyday life?

Where, when and how…

I work with adults in-person in Wimborne Minster BH21 or Online via Zoom. Currently I offer sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, daytimes and evenings.

Sessions are a full hour long and are typically weekly on the same day and at the same time. Regularity and continuity is an important part of therapy as it provides a sense of reliability, trust and containment for your process to unfold to best effect.

Fees…

Sessions cost £55–£65 for a full hour, depending on your income. Please let me know what you can afford. Those who can pay the higher fee help me keep the lower fee available for those who need it. Consultation sessions are £55. Payments can be made via bank transfer or cash on the day of your session. Paying monthly in advance is also an option.
